Munich - day 5

Another lazy day in Munich. It was grey and cold outside and we spent the morning at home trying to not to feel guilty about not going out. It has been very nice to have a house which we are happy to relax in after so much touring. Although there is plenty to see it can be overwhelming when you've been on holiday for 2 months already so I think a bit of timeout is well deserved. In the afternoon we went to the Christkindlmarkt and Englischer Garten and had sausages and gluwhein (for a change). I followed mine with a waffle with chocolate sauce and cream. Mark bought a bag of little stollen morsels with a lemon zest flavour which were very nice. Mark decided to photograph every german dog that he could see for Nina and Gus and made a collage which he sent to them. We strolled through the Englischer Garten to walk lunch off before catching a tram home. We've been watching a TV series on DVD called 24 - sometimes 3 episodes a night!
